Moisturizing yogurt and honey mask for dry skin

Moisturizing yogurt and honey mask for dry skin

Does dry skin constantly get the better of you no matter how many moisturizing products you try?
If so, this easy to make, at home facial mask will nip all that in the bud. You can stop shelling out the big bucks for over the counter products that haven’t seemed to work, and head to the grocery store instead for a tried and true alternative.

A yogurt and honey facial mask is one of the easiest and best remedies for dry skin. Not only because it works, but because it’s so affordable, and who doesn’t love a good deal these days?

If your dry skin is brought on by irritation or irritation results because of having dry skin, try adding oatmeal- it’ll help to soothe the skin.

          A Few Facts…

Yogurt contains high amounts of lactic acid which is great for treating several skin issues. Use of the natural product is great for exfoliating skin, refining pores, and boosting collagen production. Collagen is found in fibrous tissues and accounts for 30% of protein in the human body’s protein.

Honey is an all natural humectant that helps to restore skin’s moisture. The sweet mixture also aides in treating minor cuts or burns.

Oatmeal is a main ingredient in several skin care products, particularly ones that target severely dry, irritated skin. It has natural healing properties to soothe skin.

If used, the combination of yogurt and oatmeal makes this facial treatment suitable for any skin type. The yogurt is gentle enough that it won’t harm skin and the oatmeal is soothing, so it will either ease/prevent irritation.

          Mask Recipe

                    • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt

                    • 1 tablespoon honey

                    • 1-2 tablespoons oatmeal (cooked oatmeal will reduce inflammation, raw oatmeal will exfoliate)

In a container mix together all ingredients until a smooth paste is formed, apply to face using clean hands or a clean foundation brush (recommended), and let sit for at least 20 minutes. Rinse face completely with warm water, pat dry.

Your skin will appear more radiant, soft, and moisturized. If you added oatmeal into the mask, your skin should also look less red or inflamed depending on how you prepared the oatmeal.

If there’s any left over mask cover the container and place in your refrigerator for a maximum of 2 days, to use at a later time. Discard mask after 2 days and start fresh.
